Premier Easyfix Chimneys Installation Details
Premier EasyFix Chimneys are delivered to site on pallets ready for mortar pointing whilst on the ground.
The chimney is then craned onto the roof using the supplied lifting loops. Note; it is important the roofing felt is in position before the chimney is lowered onto the roof trusses.
Once the chimney is in the required position it must be secured to the roof trusses by using the supplied stainless steel screws, the screws are positioned through pre drilled holes in the base plate.
The roof should then be battened in the usual way making sure the battens are lapped over the base plate. The roof is then tiled.
Finally, the lead flashing is fitted, this can be done in the traditional stepped way and held firmly in place by the specialist supplied Borra fixing clips located in the appropriate mortar joint. We strongly recommend that a silicone sealant is applied to the joints before inserting the flashing clips and after the operation is completed.
